The Tribunal Constitucional suspends the application of the Law of Insular Councils
On December 21, the Spanish Tribunal Constitucional admitted the appeal of anticonstitutionality against the Law of Insular Councils, presented by the Central Government, and suspended the application of the eleven articles protested.

Meanwhile, the Tribunal Constitucional has published on its web the sentence 289/2000, of November 30, 2000, that declares as unconstitutional the Law of the Parliament of the Balearics 12/1991 of December 20, that regulates the Tax on installations that affect the environment.
