Concerts at Sa Māniga
Music will be the star at the Auditōrium Sa Māniga de Cala Millor (Sant Llorenį), in February.  The programme for the month will include, besides other cultural activities, five concerts within the programme "Winter in Mallorca".

On Thursday, February 1, at 8.30 p.m. the duo on viola and piano formed by  Dorothee Krost and Wiebke V. Eikeren will offer a chamber music concert.  D. Krost and W. V. Eikeren have been working together in music since 1982.  They  studied at the Hamburger Musikhocshule and collaborate with orchestras such as the  Düsseldorfer Symphonikern and the Hamburger Mozart orchestras.

On Saturday, February 10, at 8.30 p.m. the Orquestra Illa de Mallorca and Cor Studium Aureum will interpret the  Nelson Mass. The chamber orchestra  "Illa de Mallorca", sponsored by the Balearic Department of Tourism, is the official orchestra for the music festival "Winter on Mallorca".  The components are musicians of different nationalities and experience in different European orchestras.  The chamber choir "Studium Aureum" offered its first concert in May 1983.  The group has worked intensely in the field of baroque music.  Carles Ponseti Verdaguer is their founder and conductor.

There will also be concerts at Sa Māniga on February 18, by the  Basler Festival Ensemble; on 22nd, with the pianist Belina Kostadinova; and on the 24th, with the scenic show and musical by Studium Aureum.
