Defense of the Prat de Sant Jordi and S'Aranjassa

Josep Lendínez González, representative of the "Plataforma en Defensa des Prat de Sant Jordi i S'Aranjassa" has gone to Brussels to request action by the European Parliament in view of the project to build a macrosewage plant in the towns of Sant Jordi and S'Arangassa, in the municipality of Palma.

The Platform has decided to approach the European Parliament to transmit to its President how the residents of the area are upset about the project, mainly because it foresees the construction of a new Sewage Plant only 500 metres from the village centres, against the regulations for annoying, unhealthy and dangerous substances that states 2000 metres distance.
