Edicions 6a presents web and exhibition

Edicions 6a has just presented their web, www.edicions6a.com, coinciding with the opening of the exhibition dedicated to artistic printing techniques presented at the casal Can Gelabert in Binissalem, until March 3..

The recovery of the artistic printing techniques in Mallorca is thanks, in great part, to the efforts carried out by Taller 6a. Thanks to Edicions 6a Obra Gràfica, the lithography, xylography or etching have managed to emerge from lethargy they had been submitted to because of the appearance, particularly, of the new technologies. Over their 18 years' existence, the work of the Taller has been, as well as abundant, a fundamental element for the promotion of graphic work as another form of artistic expression.

Since 1982, nearly ninety Mallorcan artist and from other places have benefited from the possibilities offered by the Workshop and over 1,000 works have been published.

The web by Edicions 6a includes a data base with photographs of the works edited in their Workshop.
