Eugeni Garcia named doctor honoris causa in Rumania

Doctor Eugeni Garcia Moreno, professor in Electronic Technology and vicerector for Investigation and Scientific Policy of the Balearic University (UIB) received the doctorate honoris causa from the Technical University Cluj-Napoca in Rumania in a ceremony that was held there on February 9, 2001.

For the past six years, professor Eugeni Garcia has collaborated with this university, specialising in engineering and technology via the programmes of the European Union.

The University Cluj-Napoca, founded in 1920, is one of the largest Rumanian universities, with over 10,000 students and 600 professors and investigators.
