University Manifest for peace and freedom in the Sahara
In relating to the existing conflict in the Sahara, the students manifest the need to call a referendum for autodetermination under the supervision of the United Nations, and they express their rejection of the State regime in Morocco that does ot allow the Saharawi people to carry out their rights and choose their future freely. The students request all institutions, particularly those of the Spanish state, as ancient emtropoli of the Sahara, to intervene to obtain an area of freedom and peace that will allow the Saharawi people to carry on with their lives.
The association who have signed the manifest are: Associació Independent d'Estudiants (AIDE), Associació d'Universitaris de Balears (AUBA), Coordinadora d'Estudiants dels Països Catalans (CPCE), Espai Jove, Unió d'Estudiants Progressistes (UEP), and Universitaris Comunistes de les Illes (UCI).
