Cavall Verd Prizes: tribute to J. M. Llompart

The XVIII edition of the Premis Cavall Verd by the Associació d'Escriptors en Llengua Catalana will be held on April 20 at the Casal Can Gelabert, in Binissalem, during a dinner that will have the representation of the Island institutions and with performances by the theatrical group De Què and the musical group UC.

The evening will include the prize giving of the AELC to Jesús Moncada (Catalan writers Prize), to Gaspar Jaén Urban (Josep Maria Llompart Prize) and to Francesc Parcerisas (Rafel Jaume Prize).

The Premis Cavall Verd will be dedicated this year to the memory of Josep Maria Llompart, who was the president of the AELC (1983-1987). On April 20, there will also be a round table in the assembly rom of the Banca March, Palma with the participation by Lluís Alpera, Damià Pons and Vicenç Llorca, moderated by Joan Mas Vives.

On April 21, the day after the literary dinner in Binissalem, there will be a visit to the Mondragó Natural Park (Santanyí) and a lunch on the Mondragó beach, which will end with a recital of the "Poemes de Mondragó" by Josep Maria Llompart.
