International Composer's Award

The Fundació ACA and the Fundació Pública de les Balears per a la Música have called the 4th International Composer’s Award, for the sum of 2.000.000 pts (two million pesetas).

The piece must be arranged to suit the structure of the “Ciutat de Palma” Balearic Symphony Orchestra.

The closing date for the presentation of the originals is August 31st 2001 y the jury will announce the name of the winner on October 1st 2001

The winning composition will be given an opening performance by the “Ciutat de Palma” Balearic Symphony Orchestra, as part of the Contemporary Music Festival, the "Encontre Internacional de Compositors", on November 15th in the auditorium of the Conservatori Professional de Música i Dansa de les Illes Balears.
