World Poetry Day

March 21, 2001 is World Poetry Day. For this event, UNESCO has created the web World Poetry Directory. The web contains lists of festivals, prizes, magazines and institutions from the poetic word and details of poets in the Member States of UNESCO.

The Cultural Activities Service (SAC) of the Balearic University (UIB) has programmed different activities for March 21 to celebrate World Poetry Day. As from 10 a.m. there will be workshops, round tables, meetings and poetry readings.
