Second Festival de la Carbonera

Another year, the association Sa Sargantana of students of the Balearic Islands and Catalunya is collaborating actively with the organisation of the Festival de la Carbonera for traditional dancing and music, that will be held in Cartellà, Girona, from April 28 to May 1 2001. The Festival, promoted by Ateneu de la vall de Llémena, is supported by the Balearic Government and has an important Mallorcan participation. There will also be representatives from Catalunya, the Basque Country and Occitània.

The Mallorcan groups that will perform in this edition are Al-Mayurca amd Nou Romancer. There will also be workshops for jigs, boleros, mateixes, ximbombes...
