Mailing list BalearWeb
BalearWeb, the new heading that groups and gives common services for MallorcaWeb, MenorcaWeb, EivissaWeb and FormenteraWeb, has set up three new mailing lists: in Catalan, in Spanish and in English.
This service has been offered until now to the users of MallorcaWeb since December 15, 1997 with the name MallorcaWeb Mailing List, now becoming BalearWeb Mailing List.
What is a Mailing list?
A mailing list, or a distribution list, is a distribution system via electronic mail which works on the basis of a software (in our case "majordomo") which, from a set list of electronic mail addresses, creates a virtual space for debate. It is used to discuss a particular topic, to make consultations, to express opinions or to share knowledge. Therefore, when we want to participate, we will send only one message to an e-mail address which belongs to the mailing list and the message will be received by everyone registered on the list. In the same way, we will receive a copy of any message sent by the rest of the subscribers.
