Paintings and sculptures by Amador Vallina in Cas Concos
Amador Vallina was born in 1957 in El Entrego (Asturias) and he moved to Germany in 1973, where his parents had been living as immigrants since the 60's. There he joined the "Esperpento" theatre in Frankfurt and became a member of the collective artistic workshop "Werkstatt" in Wiesbaden. He has been living in Sóller since 1999 and this is his second individual exhibition on the Island, after the show of sculptures and paintings that he presented last year at the Gallery Can Puig in Sóller. He also participated in the last edition of Per Amor a l'Art, a collective exhibition that took place on November on the streets of Palma.
The works that Amador Vallina is presenting in the current show at the Casa de las Artes are paintings with compositions based on earth colours and sand, and big sculptures about the human body.
