The festival "Teatres del Món" back on stage with "El Verdugo"

The International Festival "Teatres del Món" comes back on the Mallorcan theatres, after a short brake marked by the summer, with the production "El Verdugo", by the company Teatro de la Danza, Barbotegi and La Llave Maestra, staring Juan Echanove, Luisa Martín amd Alfred Luchetti.

The work, directed by Luis Olmos and adapted by Bernardo Sánchez, is the theatrical version of the emblematic Spanish film "El Verdugo" by Berlanga, that premiered in 1963 with a script by Rafael Azcona. As the film, the show criticises the death penalty, but also makes us think about the power of present day pragmatism, able to completely destroy personal freedom and dreams.

The performances will take place at the Palma Auditorium, between September 13th and 16th.
