The second edition of the "Nits Angleses al Lisboa", cycle organised
by Tomeu Gomila and dedicated to promoting new British artists from the
singer-songwriter movement, will be held on March 6 and 7, as from 9.30
p.m., at the Café Lisboa in calle Sant Magí in Palma.
The
first
edition of the English nights, celebrated in November 2001 also at
the Café Lisboa, had the participation of
Michael
Weston King, leader of
The
Good Sons, who approached us to the best '60s folk, with the pianist
and singer
Lou Dalgleish.
The group invited in this second edition is
Songdog,
leaded by Lyndon Morgans, recognised writer awarded with several prizes
for books written in English (Verity Bargate for "Water Music") and in
French (Meilleure Nouvelle de Radio France for his monologue "Conte de
Fees"). Lyndon Morgans is currently working on his next novel: "In The
Well of Lost Causes".
The group Songdog, that recorded their first record "The Way Of The
World" in 2000, define their music as an "eclectic mixture of pop noire
and alternative country". Their performance at the Café Lisboa in
Palma will be the first in Spain.
