XXIV International Festival of Deià

The Flamencan dancer Fuensanta "La Moneta", accompanied by the guitarist Ian Davies and the singer Antonio Campos, will open the XXIV International Festival of Deià, on Saturday, April 6, in Son Marroig.

The prestigious International Festival of Deià was started in 1978 and since then it has been held annually, with the participation of numerous performers, groups and composers, both from Mallorca and throughout the world. The spring 2002 cycle of concerts, directed by Patrick Meadows, includes ten performances that will be held on Saturdays, until June 8, at 8,30 p.m., some in Son Marroig the others in the Monestir de Miramar.

This first concerts of the Festival will have the participation of Amadeus, Duo Fuster-Camell, Image Ensemble, Elena Riu, Isar Camara, Crystal String Quartet, Salzburg Duo, Guitar Trek and Ad Hoc Barroc, as well as the mentioned Fuensanta "La Moneta".
