Human castles in Mallorca

The world of "castellers" (human castles) on Mallorca is full of novelties this week. According to the digital magazine Castellers a Mallorca, the two Mallorcan groups --the Castellers de Mallorca and the Al·lots de Llevant-- are preparing their biggest castles for the performance that will take place next Saturday, June 1, within the programme of the Fires i Festes de Manacor.

This day will be special for another reason. After the performance of human castles, which will begin at 6 p.m. and end at 8 p.m., there will be the vernissage of the itinerant exhibition "El fet casteller" at the cybercafe Portal Nou , featuring 130 photographs dedicated to the world of the "castellers".

Another novelty of the week is the presentation of the official website of the Castellers de Mallorca: www.castellersdemallorca.com.
