"Premi Web 2002": Chat and Fiesta with the contestants

Next Thursday, May 16, there will be the Chat of the "Web Prize 2002". The meeting, open to everyone, will take place at 8 p.m. in the BalearWeb Xat (#balearweb), accessible from this web page (www.balearweb.com/IRC) or from any IRC client via the server Eu.UnderNet.org. The objective of the Chat, that is held every year within the framework of the Web Prize, is for the participants to get to know each other and to contrast their opinions on the webs presented for the contest, and about Internet in general.

The prize giving for Premi Web 2002, that had been programmed for Thursday May 23 as part of a virtual cultural Gathering, has been changed for Friday, May 24 at 8.30 p.m. At the request of different participants, finally the Gathering and the prize giving will be in person at the main office of BalearWeb, in the municipality of Andratx, as in 2000, the first edition of the prize. All the contestants of Web Prize 2002 are invited, and also the contestants of previous years. On the same day, May 24, in the morning the winner will be announced on the front pages of MallorcaWeb, MenorcaWeb, EivissaWeb y FormenteraWeb, and during the party, the prize will be given. If the author of the winning web cannot attend the party, the prize giving will be carried out by bank transfer the following day.

The participants who wish to attend the Fiesta del Premi Web 2002 should contact BalearWeb via their mail address master@balearweb.com and they will receive a detailed map how to reach the Gathering.
