Organised by the
Alaró Town
Council, the "Festes de Sant Pere" will begin on June 27, at 8.30 p.m.,
with a street parade that will go from the Plaça de la Vila to the
Plaça Cabrit i Bassa and will have the participation of the Banda
de Tambors, the
Ball
de Dimonis Infantil from the
Dimonis
d'Alaró and the group of
Geganters
d'Alaró who will carry the giants
Cabrit
i Bassa, the stars of the
legend
that took place in the
Castell
d'Alaró at the end of the XIII century. The day will end with
in the Plaza Cabrit i Bassa, at 9.30 p.m. with the presentation of the
webs of the
Dimonis
d'Alaró and the
Geganters
d'Alaró.
On Friday, June 28, at 10 p.m. there will be open-air cinema, featuring
the film
Atlantis:
l'imperi perdut.
On Saturday 29, the day of Sant Pere, there will be a food show as from
8.30 p.m., with the participation of the local associations and restaurants,
and as from 10.30, there will be a dance with music by Scarlatta and Honey.
Finally, on Sunday, June 30, at 6 p.m., there will be the traditional
races of "joies, and at 6.30 children entertainment by
Spaghetti.
The programme will end with traditional dances and music by
Herbes
Dolces.
More over, the Casal Son Tugores is holding from June 21 the exhibition
"Blanc i Negre", that groups 21 lithographs by 21 artists that participated
in
"Llum+Llum",
an exhibition programmed within the
Centienary
of the electricity, as well as the one called
"Els
anys elèctrics. 100 anys d'electricitat a Mallorca".
