The Mallorcan group
Herbes Dolces
presented last Thursday their new record, "De Prop" at the
Centre
Cultural Costa Nord in Valldemossa. The event started with some words
by the journalist from Llucmajor, Miquel Cardell, praising the group's
work and stressing the tunes on the new record. This was followed by a
concert by Herbes Dolces and for an hour and a half the group captivated
the numerous public, with jigs, fandangos, romances and other melodies,
interspersed by commentaries that won complicity by the public.
All the components of the group --Antònia Bibiloni (soloist vocals,
and percussion), Bel Martorell (violin), Josep Fiol (guitar and vocals),
Joan Antoni Pedrosa (electric base), Joan Miquel Tramullas (guitar, laud,
guitarró and vocals), Tomeu Bosch (drums, percussion and vocals)
and Miquel Rigo (flutes)-- offered their best music, motivated by the warm
reception by the public. Miquel Brunet, the producer of the record, also
went on stage to accompany one of the songs on the piano.
"De prop", edited by
Ona Digital,
is the group's second album, after "Es darrer que tanqui", that appeared
on sale in 1997.
