Nature photographers at the Refugi de Muleta

Last Sunday, the Refugi de Muleta in Port de Sóller held the second meeting of photographers and filmers of nature of the Balearics and the official presentation of the Associació de Fotògrafs de Natura de les Illes Balears (AFONIB). Some twenty people dedicated to photography and videos of nature in its different topics (fauna, flora, scenery, submarine, macro, etc) attended, and also representatives of the Sóller Town Council and the Jardí Botànic and Museu de Ciències Naturals de Sóller.

Biel Perelló was in charge of welcoming the participants and then a submarine video was shown by Diego Villalonga. The events continued with the official presentation of the AFONIB, by Jesus R. Jurado and its temporary president, Miquel Àngel Dora, and a round table to fix the next activities of the new association. After lunch, the book "Les Aus de s'Albufera, la nostàlgia del fang", by the photographer Sebastià Torrens and writer Miquel Rayó, was presented, followed by slides by Jesús R. Jurado, Sílvia Arbona, Miquel A. Ballester and Pere J. Garcias.
