Patron Saint fiestas for Sant Joan in Deià

With the start of the IV Pere Magraner Tennis Tournament, that is held at the municipal court and the court of the hotel Costa d'Or, on June 13, the programme of the festivities of Sant Joan in Deia, started, organised by the Town Council with the collaboration of entities and firms in the municipality.

The programme includes, on June 20 at 9.30 p.m. at the Anfiteatro Municipal Joan Mas, the traditional proclomation of the fiestas, this year by the University Professor of the UIB Gonçal A. López i Nadal, followed by the concert by the Mallorcan group Herbes Dolces. On June 21, as from 10 p.m. there will be a dance at the municipal sports centre with the groups Fet a mà, Alabama, Pa amb oli band and Amb una mica de sort, and the following day another one with the groups Orquesta Victoria, Orquesta Malpaso and Horris Kamoi.

On Monday June 24, Sant Joan's day, at 11 a.m. there will be the Official Mass in the church. During the religious ceremony, the Sant Francesc de Paula Choir and the Cantadores de Deià will sing. The programme will end with the play "Millor per s'octubre" by the compañía Xesc Forteza and final fireworks.
