Between July 21 and 28, the Soller valley will host the
XXII
Mostra Internacional Folklòrica, best known as "sa Mostra".
This year this prestigious folk festival, founded in 1980 by the group
Aires Sollerics, will have
the participation of the groups African Culture Heritage Trust (Phakama,
South Africa), Policromía Mexicana (Monterrey, Mexico), Bursa Sword
- Shield Kilç Kalkan Association (Bursa, Turkey), Agrupación
Nambroque (Santa Cruz de La Palma, Canaries), Georgian Folk Dance Group
Momavali (Georgia) and Aires Sollerics (Sóller, Mallorca).
On Tuesday 23 at 9.30 p.m. in the Plaça Constitució the
XXI Festival will open with the performances of all the participating groups.
The programme of the Festival also includes performances in Maria de la
Salut and in Deià (July 24); in Palma (July 25) and in Muro, Alcúdia
and Sa Pobla (July 26)
The closing ceremony will take place on July 28 at 6 p.m., in the Plaça
Constitució in Soller, and will also have the participation of all
the groups involved in the Festival.
