"Santa Praxedis" in Petra

Petra is celebrating these days the festivities for Santa Praxedis, patron saint of the town. Amongst the traditional events programmed, worth stressing is the "Completes Solemnes de Sant Praxedis" to be held on July 20 as from 8.30 p.m.

As for the musical programme, there will be concerts by the local groups Dits Estrets, Es Blavets de Bonany and Soterrats (Monday 15), Menaix a Truà (Thursday 18), Al Mayurqa and Sarau Alcudienc (Friday 19) and the local Music Band, Tolo Martorell, Orquestra Rodamons and Chesterfield (Saturday 20). The last night of the fiestas, Sunday 21, will include folk dances by the group Puig de Bonany.

The programme, available in Word format, is completed by traditional games, sporting competitions, theatre and many other activities.
