Bernardo Torrens at the Centre Contemporani Pelaires

Now that the exhibition by Joan Hernández Pijuan has ended, the Centre Cultural Contemporani Pelaires, situated in the calle Verí in Palma, is holding in August, September and October an exhibition by the artist Bernardo Torrens (Madrid, 1957).

Bernardo Torrens presents in this second exhibition that he is holding in Pelaires (the first was in 1997) a selection of his artistic work in the last ten years. The realistic paintings by the artist –most of them human figures– go beyond the world of appearances and the superficiality of the forms. Amongst the paintings exhibited there is a portrait of Fèlix Pons, Mallorcan Layer who was the Speaker in the Spanish Parliament in Madrid from 1986 to 1996.
