The Teatro de Vilafranca,
administered
by the company, Gom Teatre, wil hold from September 20 to 22 the "I Fira
de Teatre Infantil i Juvenil de les Illes Balears". All weekend adventures,
comedies, stories, music, popular games and workshops will invade the Theatre
stage, and also other areas of Vilafranca, such as the square, Bar Anit
and the patio of Ca ses Monges, where some of the activities and representations
of the fair will take place.
The new theatrical fair - sponsored by the Town Council, the Majorcan
Council, the Balearic Government and Sa Nostra - intends to diversify and
promote the cultural offer in Vilafranca and also to bring theatrical productions
of the Balearics nearer to school centres. For this reason, although
the fair is open to the general public, it is planned as a tool for teaching
professionals when chosing shows to be seen by their pupils, and for professionals
who administer theatrical equipment.
