Concert organised by Músics per la Llengua in Eivissa
After the successful II Trobada de Músics per la Llengua held in March in the Mallorcan town of Santa Eugènia, the association Músics per la Llengua has organised a new edition of the concert that will take place on the island of Eivissa next Saturday, October 5, at the square of the University Extension in Carrer Bes of the Upper Town (Dalt Vila).

18 music groups from the islands (8 from Eivissa, 2 from Formentera, 2 from Menorca and 6 from Mallorca) will participate in this third edition of the "Trobada", sponsored by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Balearic Government, the Eivissa and Formentera Insular Council, the Eivissa Town Council, the Balearic University, The General Direction of Youth of the Balearic Government, Baleària and Club Diario de Ibiza.

The programme will begin at 11 a.m. with a children's gimkana organised by the Taller de flauta dolça Albarca and at 1 p.m., before the popular barbecue, there will be a performance by the infant choir Taller Albarca. As from 3 p.m. and until 1 a.m. the following groups will perform: Tomeu Planells (singer-songwriter musician, Eivissa), Guillem Sansó (singer-songwriter musician, Mallorca), Coral del Conservatori d'Eivissa i Formentera i Es Cor Ciutat d'Eivissa (choir, Eivissa), Miquel Prats Blues Band (blues, Eivissa), Stock de Rock (rock, Eivissa), Nou Romancer (folk, Mallorca), UC (folk, Eivissa), S'Albaida (folk, Menorca), Aires Formenterencs (folk, Formentera), Suso Rexach (singer-songwriter musician, Mallorca), Inventari (pop, Menorca), Syphosis (Ska-Salsa, Mallorca), Pota Lait (rock, Eivissa), Amb un mica de sort (rock, Mallorca), 4 de Copes (pop, Formentera) and Ke Reggae Ska (ska, Mallorca).

Within the "Trobada", on Friday, October 4, at noon, there will also be debate on the advantages and inconveniences of singing in Catalan.
