Fiestas in Cas Concos des Cavaller

Antoni Ramis Caldentey of Son Sart, coordinator of ARC 46, will be in charge this year of making the official proclamation for the fiestas in Cas Concos des Cavaller next Friday, September 6 a 7.30 p.m..

The patron saint fiestas in honour of Sant Nicolau of this small village in the municipality of Felanitx will continue for 10 days until September 15. The programme includes all kinds of cultural, religious, ludic and sports activities with high public participation. Worth mentioning are the concert by Antònia Font and Trio Escarlata, on Saturday 7 at 10.30 p.m.; the religious ceremony for the eve of the Saint's day, Monday 9, that will start at 7.30 p.m. with the traditional street parade of the Demonis of Cas Concos and giants accompanied by the xeremiers and the mass at 9 p.m. with the blessing of Sant Nicolau's rolls; finally the traditional dances by Brotet d'Alfabeguera and Villafranca balla i bota.

The day of Sant Nicolau, Tuesday 10, will start with a street parade at 10 a.m. followed as usual by the aperitif of palo and soda, wine, crisps... and the traditional "carreres de joies". In the afternoon a bicycle ride, religious ceremonies for the Saint and in the evening the "XI Concos Cooking Festival".
