Fiestas in Maria de la Salut
The reading of the proclamation of the fiestas, this year by Onofre Arbona, will take place on Thursday at 10.30 p.m., followed by a concert by Música Nostra.
On Friday there will be games and sports competitions, several exhibitions will open and in the evening, a popular supper in the square of the village with music by Nou Romancer and the singer Sabi Alejandra, who lives in Maria de la Salut.
On Saturday, as well as other events, there will be popular games at 11.30 a.m., a meal for youngsters in the square of the village and an open air dance with music by Dúo Piscis, Orquestra Rodamons and Val 9.
On Saturday, the main day of the fiestas, there will be a street parade as from 10.30 a.m., the Solemn Mass at 11 a.m., and popular races at noon. In the afternoon, snail races, children games and other activities. The day of the Patron Saint will finish with fire races by the Sa Pobla and Santa Margalida devils and an open air dance.
The last day of the fiestas, Monday 9, there will be a street parade called "Coneguem els Reis de Mallorca" included in the programme of the Diada de Mallorca, theatre by the company TiC and a spectacular firework display.
