The
Consell de Mallorca
has published on Internet
the
draft for the Territorial Plan of Mallorca, the norm that will regulate
the future urban development of the island. The preparation of the
Territorial Plan of Mallorca has been carried out by the Unión Temporal
de Empresas (UTE) comprised by the companies MECSA and IDOM, and the Control
Committee for the work on the Territorial Plan is made up of the following
political representatives: Josep Melià Ques, executive councillor
for the Territorial Planning of the Mallorcan Council and president of
the Committee; Antoni Alorda Villarubias, vicepresident of the Committee;
Antoni Pascual Ribot; Miquel Nadal Buades; Pere Massutí Montserrat;
Mª Magdalena Tugores Bautista and Joan Verger Pocoví.
As from now, the legislative process will continue with the final edition
of the norm, that will have to incorporate the consideration carried out
by the Control Committee, and then the Plan will be presented to the Full
Council Meeting of Mallorca for the initial approval. After this
step, the Plan will pass to public exhibition so that the public and organisations
can present their allegations and after the preceptive report from the
Mallorcan Council on these, the Plan will pass for a further public exhibition,
that will open a second phase for allegations, followed by the preceptive
report from the Mallorcan Council on these. The final process is
the presentation of the Territorial Plan of Mallorca before the Full Council
Meeting of this first island institution for the final approval.
Once the Territorial Plan of Mallorca has been definitively approved,
the
Norma
Territorial Cautelar, known popularly as the moratorium, will no longer
be in force, a norm approved in January 2002 by the Full Council
Meeting of Mallorca to adopt provisional measures that assured the viability
and effectivity of the Plan.
