Everything ready for the Alcúdia Fair

On October 4, 5 and 6 the traditional "Fira d'Alcúdia" will be held, with a complete programme of events that includes exhibitions, street parades, sports activities, dances, concerts... A vast sample of agriculture, artisanware, food, industry and commerce will attract huge numbers of people from all over the Island.

The popular culture will also be play an important role in the fair, especially on Saturday as from 4.30 p.m., when the fantastic characters of the Estol del Rei En Jaume will offer a street parade and children party with the group of Xeremiers from Alcúdia; one of the most awaited events of the programme. On Saturday there will also be a food exhibition and a popular dance with music by Tamudança, Sarau Alcudienc and Música Nostra.

The fair for Sunday will include artisanware demonstrations, an equestrian show, Tai-chi and Jujitsu exhibitions, sports and a street parade by the giants of the Mallorca Council. The programme will finish with a concert by the local music band at 8 p.m.
