The two first concerts of the "Jornades Internacionals de l'Orgue Històric
de les Balears", organised by the
Fundació
ACA, took place last weekend in Fornalutx and Pollença. The
programme will continue this week with a performance by the Gresham Choir
in the Convent de Sant Domingo in Pollença (Wednesday 23, 9 p.m.),
an organ concert by Bartomeu Manresa at the church of Sóller (Friday
25, 8 p.m.), a concert by the organist Arnau Reynés and the Choir
M. Tortell in Muro (Saturday 26, 8 p.m.) and a concert by Bartomeu Manresa
in Inca (Sunday 27, 8 p.m.).
In November there will be seven concerts with the participation of the
organist Tomeu Mut, who will perform in the Convent dels Pares Dominics
in Manacor (Sunday 3, 8 p.m.) and in the church of Sencelles (Saturday
9, 8.30 p.m.), the duet formed by the organist Arnau Reynés and
the trumpet player Julio Beltran, who will perform in Santanyí (Friday
8, 9 p.m.) and in Calvià (Sunday 24, 8 p.m.), the organist Miquel
González who will give a concert in the church of Búger (Sunday
10, 7.30 p.m.), and the organist Adolfo Villalonga who will perform in
the church of Alcudia (Friday 29, 8.30 p.m.) and in the Convent de Sant
Francesc de Paula in Campos (Saturday 30, 8.30 p.m.)
Finally, in December, there will be the last six concerts with the participation
of three other organists. Miquel Bennàssar will perform in the Monestir
de Santa Isabel in Palma (Sunday 1, 8 p.m.) and also in Eivissa, in the
Convent dels Dominics (Friday 6, 8 p.m.). Peter Schwarz in the church of
Sant Miquel in Felanitx (Thursday 5, 9 p.m.) and in the church of Santa
Maria del Camí (Friday 6, 8 p.m.). And the last concerts will be
by Tomé Olives in Artà (Saturday 14, 8.30 p.m.) and in Sa
Pobla (Sunday 15, 8.30 p.m.).
