The colours of light, homage to Coll Bardolet
The vernisage of the exhibition  "Els colors de la llum, vida i obra del pintor Josep Coll Bardolet" on Thursday, October 17, at 7 p.m., in the cloister of Sant Antoniet in Palma, will begin the homage to Josep Coll Bardolet (Campdevànol, 1912) for his 90th birthday anniversary. The exhibition dedicated to the Catalan artist resident in Valldemossa since the 40's can be visited until November 7. The day of the vernissage there will be a concert by Tomeu Estaràs (flutes) and Miquel Pérez Quintanilla (guitar).

The homage includes many other activities. On Friday 18 at 20.30 p.m. at the Conservatory of Music in Palma there will be folk dances by the Escola de Música i Danses de Mallorca Bartomeu Ensenyat Estrany and a concert by the Coral Canigó from Vic.

On Saturday 19, at 11.30 p.m., in the square Verge de la Salut in Palma, folk dances by Revetla de Sant Antoni and Dansa de Campdevànol, and at 5.30 p.m. at the Sa Nostra Cultural Centre, presentation of the book "Els colors de la llum" and piano concert by the Japanese Yuko.

On Sunday 20, the homage activities will continue in Lluc, where there will be several activities thought the day, and on Monday 21 the programme will continue in the sa Riera building of the UIB in Palma, where the exhibition "Guaixos, aquarel·les i dibuixos de J. Coll Bardolet" will be presented.

On Saturday 26, at 11.30 p.m., in the square Verge de la Salut in Palma, again folk dances by the Grup Folklòric Sant Isidre from Ciutadella. Later, at 5 p.m. in the Monestir de Miramar in Valldemossa, Josep Coll Bardolet will be distinguished as a founder associated of the Obra Cultural Balear.

On Saturday 2, at 11:30 p., again folk dances in the square Verge de la Salut in Palma, by the Balladors de Lluc, and at 7 p.m., at the Palau Rei Sanç in Valldemossa, concert by Hélène Giraudier (soprano) and Narcís Bonet (piano).

On November 3, at 5 p.m. there will be a popular party in the square of the Cartoixa de Valldemossa with music and dances by the Parado de Valldemossa, Escoleta de Balls de Valldemossa and Els Valldemossa.

Finally, on November 7, at 8 p.m., in the Conservatory of Music in Palma, there will be a concert by the Coral Universitat de les Illes Balears and the events will end with a dinner at the Escola d'Hoteleria of the UIB (tickets available at the Claustre de Sant Antoniet until November 4).
