Traditional fair in Porreres

Yesterday in Porreres the events for the "Fira 2002" fair started with the first conference of the cycle given by the neuropsychologist from Porreres, Agnès Oliver i Mora.

The programme of the Fair includes a wide range of activities that will last until the beginning of December. Conferences, exhibitions, sports competitions, games, excursions, concerts, dances and plays are some of the festive proposals.

This year the fair will be dedicated to wines because on Friday 25 the new official headquarters of the origin denomination "Pla i Llevant de Mallorca" will open at the renovated Molí de n'Amengual. The event will begin at 7.45 p.m. and will include a wine tasting activity for everybody and a concert by Dionisio's Jazz Band de Santanyí. More over the Jaume Mesquida wine cellar in Porreres has organised an open doors day for the same Sunday of the fair, October 27, with musical performances and artistic exhibitions.
