"Els danys del tabac" by Anton Txekhov at the Teatre Municipal

As part of the Festes de Sant Sebastià, the Lluna Teatre will present the dramatised reading of the text "Conferència sobre els danys que produeix el tabac" by Anton Txekhov, at the Municipal Theatre in Palma. This was already seen last year at the UIB, in the Sala de Cultura Sa Nostra, and the Fira de Teatre in Manacor, and is interpreted by Joan Carles Bestard, directed by Antoni Maria Thomàs and produced by the Fundació Teatre Principal.

On the stage, a middle aged man gives a conference about the damage caused by tobacco. The monologue ends up in a confession of the most sordid inner aspects of his own existence, reaching a surprising final.

The performances will take place from 23 to 26 at 9 p.m. Before this, the show can also be seen at the Club Diario de Mallorca.
