Last Monday, January 13, within the
Festes
de Sant Sebastià, the "VIII Festival de Música Clàssica
d'Hivern" began in the Music and Dance Conservatory in Palma, with a concert
by the Orquestra Festival d'Hivern, conducted by Barry Sargent, to benefit
the
Associació
Balear de Fibrosi Quística.
The festival will continue until April 11, with five other concerts.
On Wednesday, January 22, at 9 p.m., the Teatre Municipal de Palma will
hold the second concert, by the piano duo Collegium Artist. They will play
Argentinean tangos and milongas by Piazzolla and Ramos. Entrance tickets
cost 9 euros.
The third concert, on February 2, at 7 p.m., will be given by
The
Classic Buskers (Tickets: 12 euros).
Jordi
Savall with his viola de gamba will give the fourth concert on March
7, at 9 p.m., at the Palma Conservatory (Tickets: 18 euros).
The fifth concert, by Wonderbrass, will be on March 18, at 9 p.m., at
the Teatre Municipal de Palma (Tickets: 12 euros).
Finally, the Cross Over Palma Ensemble will give the last concert, on
April 11, at 9 p.m., in the Palma Conservatory (Tickets: 12 euros).
