Chopin Festival at the Cartoixa in Valldemossa

Four concerts, a show and an exhibition make up the poster for the Festival Chopin 2003 that will present once more some of the best present day pianists at the Cartuja de Valldemossa.

The concerts will take place on the first four Sundays of August, at 10 p.m., featuring performances by Nelson Freire (August 3), Yuri Rozum (August 10), Kirill Gerstein (August 17), and Ramon Coll (August 24). More over, on Sunday 31 there will be a literary and musical show dedicated to George Sand, by the actress Carme Sansa and the pianist, composer and stage director Xavier Albertí.

"Ceramics, paintings and drawings" by Joan Gardy-Artigas is the name of the exhibition that will open on August 2 in the Carthusian Monastery and can be visited until the end of the month, Monday to Saturday from 3 to 8 p.m., Sundays from 7 to 10 p.m.
