The festive calendar on Mallorca continues its course and in the middle of the summer "Sant Jaume" arrives, a festivity that is celebrated in Alcúdia, Algaida, Calvià, Portocolom, Santanyí, Sa Pobla, Manacor...

Alcúdia will celebrate the festivity of their patron saint with a complete programme of events which excels for its musical choice, featuring a concert by the Colombian musician Juanes, amongst others.

In Algaida, Els cossiers, once again, will be the centre of attention for the festivities, when they dance "el quadrat" the eve of Sant Jaume, on July 24 (8 p.m.), and the following day, Friday 25, when they dance the offertory in the mass (11 a.m.) and afterwards dance in the church square. Full programme available in PDF format.

Sant Jaume is the patron saint of Calvià and the activities organised for this celebration are very important. The programme of activities, available in the diary of the Town Hall, will continue until Saturday 26.

Sant Jaume is also the patron saint of Portocolom, where a Lateen sailboats regatta will be held, as well as many other events that you can find in this piece of news by the Town Hall.

Santanyí celebrates theses days many activities for Sant Jaume, according to this programme in PDF format, although its patron saint festivity is on November 24: Sant Andreu.

And in Sa Pobla the fiestas for Sant Jaume are held together with the ones for Santa Margalida, including the Festival de Jazz a Sa Pobla and the IX Tradicionarius.

Muro organises several activities for Sant Jaume, although the patron saint festivity of the town which celebrated more intensively is in June, on Sant Joan. Finally, in Manacor, coinciding with Sant Jaume, on July 25 and 26, there will be an Artisan night and artistic fair accompanied by musical performances.
