Social Forum of Mallorca

With the slogan "Another world is possible, another Mallorca too", on October 17, 18 and 19 the first Foro Social de Mallorca will be held in Palma. Amics de la Terra, Associació d'Amics del Poble Saharauí de les Illes Balears, ATTAC-Mallorca, Oikumene and STEI-i are some of the twenty plus entities organising the event, that has been responded to by associations such as Ben Amics, Consell de Joventut de les Illes Balears, Fundació Deixalles and GOB, amongst others.

The Foro Social de Mallorca has been recognised by the World Social Forum and the organisation foresees participating in the European Social Forum, that will be held in Paris next month, and in the Mediterranean Social Forum, that will take place in Barcelona in March 2004.
