Next October 15, the second edition of the educational programme "Òpera
Oberta" will start, promoted by the
Liceu
de Barcelona in collaboration with the
Universitat
de les Illes Balears and a dozen more universities from Spain.
The programme, introduced into the last course as a subject of free configuration,
includes the live transmission of five operas of the Liceu Season 2003-2004,
accompanied by five conferences and seminars. The transmission of audio
and video will be via internet, exactly using a high speed multicast
network of
RedIRIS.
The programme this year foresees the following transmissions that will
take place in the Edificio Gaspar Melchor de Jovellanos in the university
campus:

WINTERMÄRCHEN, by Philippe Boesmans. December 11
PETER GRIMES, by Benjamin Britten. January 22
