At the foot of the Bonany
chapel, within the municipality of Sant Joan, is the property known as
"
Els
Calderers". The property, traditionally dedicated to animal farming,
has been converted into a museum and is open to the public all year round,
offering a visit to the manor house built in 1750, the auchthochtonous
animal yards and stables, and the different work shops with antique machinery
and tools.
Els Calderers is one of the most representative properties of the Mallorcan
Plain and a visit includes wine tasting in the Cellar, and acquaints you
will the way of life and working in rural Mallorca of the XVIII century.
Entrance costs 7 euros for adults and 3.5 euros for children. Visiting
times are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., from April to October, and 10 a.m. to
5 p.m. from November to March.
