The
Casal
Solleric in Palma has opened two new exhibitions. On one hand, the
mezzanine floor is housing until January 11, 2004, the exhibition called
"Pell de pintures. Obres 1995-2003" by Mercedes Laguens (Tarazona, Zaragoza,
1953). The show, sponsored by the
CAM with
the collaboration of the
Palma Town Council,
groups a selection of the works by the artist from 1995 to now, featuring
painting, drawing, graphic work and sculpture.
On the other hand, the Espai Quatre, the hall in the basement of the
Solleric, is presenting until January 2004 the installation called "Desnudo
y crudo" by the Argentinean artist Nicola Constantino, a provocative conceptual
art proposal that criticises the death-based food culture.
As for the Noble floor, until November 14 you can still visit the exhibition
"
Bellver.
Cartografias, autorretratos y otras mentiras" by Fernando Bellver,
and as from November 27 the exhibition called "Art Report".
Finally, on the ground floor of the Solleric, until December 14, you
can see the finalist works of the Architecture Contest
Art
Jove 2003. And as from December 18, the space will house the exhibition
"Signs of occupancy" by the British architects
Alison
& Peter Smithson.
