Concerts in Banyalbufar

The programme begins this month and continues until October.

On June 18, at 9 p.m., in the parish church of Banyalbufar, there will be the first concert of the series "Concerts a Banyalbufar" that is held every summer, organised by the Associació Cultural Bany-Al-Bahar.

This first concert will be given by Montserrat Torrent, well known organist form Barcelona who will play works by G. Frescobaldi, P. Bruna and J.B. Cabanilles on the Baroque organ of the XVII century of the Banyalbufar church.

The series of concerts continues until October with the following programme:

09/07/2005 - David Gómez, pianist (works by A. Piazzolla, E. Granados, F. Chopin)
30/07/2005 - La Mantuanella, baroque music (works by A. Falconiero, B. Marini, C. Monteverdi)
13/08/2005 - Damià Timoner, guitarist (self-composed music)
24/09/2005 - Cor de la Fundació del Teatre Principal conducted by Francesc Bonnín (selection of works by Nabucco, La Traviata, Turandot)
22/10/2005 - Rafel Riera, organist (works by J.S. Bach, F. Correa de Arauxo, J. Pachelbel)

All the performances will take place in the Parish Church and will begin at 9 p.m.
