Festival of Pollença at the Cloister of Sant Domingo
The programme for this year includes 11 exceptional concerts until August 31.
A new edition of the prestigious Pollença Festival will begin next Wednesday, July 13, in the Cloister of Sant Domingo in Pollença with the opening concert by the Philharmonic of St. Petersburg, conducted by Yuri Temirkanov. The programme for this year includes 11 exceptional concerts until August 31 and once again will have the participation of well known prestigious international artists.
The Festival of Pollença was created in 1962 by the distinguished violinist Philip Newman sponsored by the Pollença Town Council. After his death, the present artistic director, Professor Eugen Prokop, took over, and for some years now, the Festival has been a full member of the Association Européenne des Festivals.
