Gathering of Musicians for the Catalan Language
Concerts in Ciutadella and Artà.
The sixth edition of the "Trobada Músics per la Llengua", organised by Músics per la Llengua, will be held this weekend with two macro concerts in Ciutadella and Artà. The Gathering will have the participation of over 70 groups and soloists from the Balearics who are committed to their language and culture.
The macro concert in Ciutadella will take place in the Pla de Sant Joan on Friday 8 as from 17:00 h. There will be two stages and some twenty groups. The day after, Saturday 9 as from 5 p.m., the macro concert will be held in Artà. In this second concert there will be over fifty groups and three stages: two on the road, and one in the municipal theatre.
The Trobada Músics per la Llengua was held for the first time in Santa Eugènia in November 2000. The second edition also took place in Santa Eugènia in March of 2002. The third Trobada was held in October 2002 in Eivissa town. The the fourth took place in May 2003, once again in Santa Eugènia. And the fifth was held in December 2004 in the Assaig club in Palma.
