Regatta Breitling Illes Balears
Two categories: the traditional IMS and the new TP 52 class.
The eleventh edition of the Breitling Regatta – Illes Balears will be held in the Bay of Palma between July 20 and 24. This year the most important novelty is that two categories will participate: the traditional IMS and the new TP 52 class in which all of its boats will sail in real time, that is without ratings.
Among the 28 registered participants are King Juan Carlos and Prince Felipe, at the wheels of Bribón and Aifos, respectively, that will compete in the TP 52 class, and Princes Cristina, skipper of the Azur de Puig boat, which will participate in the IMS category.
The regatta is organised by the Club de Regatas Puerto Portals (CRPP), with the collaboration of the Real Federación Española de Vela (RFEV) and the sponsorship of Cronomar S.A. (Breitling watches). The Government of the Balearic Islands and the Town Council of Calviá (Mallorca) are also collaborating in the event.
