Concerts, exhibitions, cinema and master class.
After the opening concert by George Benson, that took place on July 29, the second edition of the Jazz Voyeur Festival will continue next Saturday, September 10, with a concert by Kool & The Gang in the Casino de Mallorca.
The performances will continue on October 31 in the Palma Auditorium with a concert by Paquito D'Rivera accompanied by Bebo Valdés, Chano Domínguez and Rosa Passos.
On November 5 the festival will move to the Sala Assaig in Palma where Roy Haynes will play, accompanied by Christian McBride (bass), Dave Kikoski (piano), Nicholas Payton (trumpet) and Kenny Garrett (sax).
The Palma Conservatory will house the following concert, on November 18, by Brad Mehldau.
And the Festival will end on November 25 in the Palma Auditorium with a concert by The Blind Boys of Alabama.
Several activities will complement the concerts: an exhibition of photographs by Carmen Llusá and Thor Castro in the Casa de Cultura - Espai Ramon Llull of Palma, from September 8 to 30; another photographic exhibition by Gerardo Cañellas in the Casino de Mallorca, also from September 8 to 30; several cinema sessions in the Casa de Cultura (days 8, 15, 22 and 29 of September); and a Master Class in the Palma Conservatory.
