A love story titled "Pasiones romanas" (Roman passions).
Writer Maria de la Pau Janer (Palma, 1966) has won the 54th edition of the Premio Planeta de Novela, worth 601,000 euros, with the work "Pasiones romanas". The novel is a love story, the main character is a lawyer and the plot takes place between Rome and Mallorca.
Maria de la Pau Janer, daughter of writer Gabriel Janer Manila, is professor at the Department of Catalan Philology and Linguistics of the Balearic University and writes in newspapers such as Diario de Mallorca and Avui. She has also participated in several TV and radio programmes and nowadays she presents the IB3's Punt de Trobada.
