Montuïri: partridge fair
The most important activity of the Fair is the traditional partridge contest.
Montuïri will celebrate next Sunday, December 4, the "Fira de sa perdiu" and all day the Plaza Mayor and nearby streets will be full of all kinds of stalls with traditional food, artisan, ecological and solidarity craftwares. There will also be varied activities such as autochthonous animal shows, exhibitions of products of agriculture and fishing, amongst others. But the most important activity of the Fair is the traditional partridge contest, organised by the Societat de Caçadors Locals and the Associació de Caçadors de Perdius, an event that awakens great expectations amongst the inhabitants of Montuïri and all the visitors who come, year after year, to the Fair.
The programme of the fair began on November the 19h with several cultural, social and sports activities that carry on this week. The Saturday before the fair, several exhibitions will open and there will a popular barbecue and concerts.
