The Ministry of Public Works considers the enlargement is inviable.
The Ministry of Public Works of the Balearic Government has passed the project for the enlargement of the marina of S'Estanyol to the Balearic Environment Commission, entity in charge of judging the environmental consequences of such intervention. According to a press release by the Government, after knowing the allegations presented and the reports by the institutions (disfavourable by the Insular Council and favourable by the Llucmajor Town Council), the Ministry considers that there are serious environmental problems that affect the viability of the project and advises against the enlargement.
