Art Night in Palma

Galleries and cultural centrers open until 11.30 p.m.

The tenth edition of the Palma "Nit de l'Art" will be held on Thursday, September 21st, with the participation of some thirty art galleries, cultural centres and museums, that will be open especially until 11.30 p.m.

The Palma art galleries that participate in the event are ABA, Altair, Ferran Cano, Joan Guaita, Joan Guaita Peça Única, Jule Kewenig, Maior, Pelaires, Centre Cultural Contemporani Pelaires, Xavier Fiol, La Caja Blanca, Gabriel Vanrell, Mediterrània, Joan Oliver "Maneu" and Joan Oliver "Maneu" Nou Espai. On the other hand, in la Misericòrdia five spaces from outside Palma will be present. These are the galleries Bennassar from Pollença, Marimón from Can Picafort, Can Janer from Inca, Centre Cultural Andratx and Centre d'Art la Real.

As for cultural centres and museums, the participating spaces are: Casal Solleric, Ses Voltes, Centre de Cultura Sa Nostra, Es Baluard, Fundació la Caixa, Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró, Sa Llonja and Museu de Mallorca. The programme also include the exhibition Sculptures by Igor Mitoraj.

As well as the spaces included in the official programme, the following galleries will also open exhibitions tomorrow coinciding with the "Nit de l'Art": Blitz, Fran Reus, Mar Gaita, Standarte, Joanna Kunstmann - Project Room, Joanna Kunstmann and La Fàbrica de Licors.

The organisers of the Palma art night are the Associació Independent de Galeries d'Art de Balears (AIGAB) and Art Palma Contemporani Associació de Galeristes, with support by the Palma Town Council, Govern de les Illes Balears, Consell de Mallorca and the Associació de Restaurants de Mallorca.
